Trump's Granddaughter Receives Professional Advice from Golf Legend Woods Ahead of LPGA First Appearance
This young athlete has substantial social media audience
Kai Trump can count on multiple well-known supporters as she begins her LPGA debut later this week.
This teenage golfer, who is the granddaughter of a former US president, was granted a special exemption to compete at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.
The former president, an avid golfer, operates several international courses and frequently competes against his granddaughter.
"He's fairly competent. I shouldn't elaborate but we play competitive games," she revealed.
She mentioned that Trump, unable to come, counseled her: "Simply don't get nervous."
"My grandpa practically advised me to play and have fun," she explained.
"From my perspective, he's simply a normal grandpa. He can't make it this weekend. He's busy with presidential duties, so he's rather occupied."
As an amateur, Kai has played in a mere three competitions recently and maintains position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.
Yet she can receive tips from golf legend, who is dating Vanessa.
"He stands as the greatest golfer globally," the young golfer said.
"And he's a superior person. He advised me to compete, have fun, following the flow."
The golfer will compete against several top competitors in the sport at the Annika, including second-ranked the champion, British golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
Tournament organizers mentioned that involving Kai helps introduce golf to wider groups, particularly reaching the next generation.
The social media influencer has a massive following and has started a personal apparel and wellness label.
She begins at 17:30 GMT.
